Cozy Sunroom Retreat

This award-winning space started with the homeowners completing renovations on their sunroom, but had difficulty achieving the cozy space that they had envisioned. Floors were put in and a heater was placed in the space to be enjoyed year round. However the space still felt incomplete. They called on WW Design Studio to help with space planning and furniture selection to create a welcoming multi-functional retreat for morning coffees, reading, yoga, lunches, and relaxation, with plenty of sunshine all year round. Existing cabinets and lighting were removed to accommodate new contemporary pieces. The homeowners had their heart set on recliners in the space and we found sleek upholstered recliners with wood arms that suited the space perfectly. Fabric protection was applied to the light coloured fabric for stain protection. The flooring was layered with two rugs - a larger rattan rug to add warm colour to the space and a patterned wool rug with a geometrical pattern for interest and coziness underfoot. New custom solar shades are lined for privacy in the evening and sun control during the day while enjoying the view. During COVID the family was happy to have the extra space to enjoy the simple pleasures.
